Logistics of the Competition

How the day will run…

1.      Judging Classes:

Contestants will have 12-15 minutes to judge each class of four horses.  During halter classes’ contestants will be shown the following views: profile, front view, rear view, travel and close inspection.  Each contestant will turn in their judges card following the completion of each class.  Once a card has been turned in to a group leader, it will not be returned for any reason.  Failure to turn in a card or turning in a blank card shall result in a score of 0 for that class.  If a contestant selects more than one placing sequence, the card will not be scored and a 0 will be registered for that class.  The cards will be scored through the use of a horse judging contest computer program.  Time between each class will vary upon the need for warm-up/schooling time for the horses and exhibitors preparing to be judged.
